Americans Wounded in Iraq Passes 20,000

Last week, 168 Americans were wounded, 96 seriously enough to be out for more than three days. That brings the official total to 20,113 Americans wounded in the last three and a half years in Iraq. In the same period, 2,677 Americans have lost their lives.

Bush still has no plans for ending the war except for more of the same; he plans personally to cut and run in January, 2009, leaving Iraq for the next president to clean up. Americans are still uncertain why we went to war in Iraq in the first place. This fall Americans will decide whether Bush's recklessness, incompetence and growing abuse of power are to be left unchecked.

The really paranoid one seems to be Cheney and all he's doing is killing a lot of people and saying oops, wrong people. That's a sure way to create more enemies. It's doesn't make us one bit safer.
