Bush Uncomfortable at Press Conference

Bush gave a somewhat strange performance at his press conference today. Given his testiness, it would have been smarter for him to have made his announcement about Rumsfeld leaving, and then stop after offering a few conciliatory words towards the Democratic leadership (which he did) and simply say he would have more to say later in the week. Instead, he rambled on at length, flubbing several questions from reporters; that is not how one gets back on a horse after falling off.

I also listened to Nancy Pelosi's quick press conference and she was great. Confident, positive and even generous towards Bush.
